Bowl-Rite Lanes

Bowl-Rite Lanes first opened its doors in 1965, when it was constructed just above a Shop Rite grocery store; this is how the establishment got its namesake, Bowl-Rite. Four different individuals have owned this establishment throughout the years. Rich Donohue, the current owner, has been the establishment’s proprietor since March 5, 2004. In 1974, when Rich was just five years old, he had his first experience bowling at this facility. More about Union City.

When he was younger and bowled in youth leagues with his sisters Cheryl and Elizabeth, his mother Linda would take him bowling every week on a Saturday morning. According to Rich, bowling is so much fun was not the only thing that kept him going back week after week and year after year. The friendships he established along the road kept him going back, and he hopes that his clients feel the same way when they visit the center.

There are a lot of individuals who don’t participate in bowling leagues because they don’t believe they are talented enough to compete with the other bowlers in the company who have better averages. This is a fundamental misunderstanding. As a result, bowling facilities often provide disabled bowling leagues as the majority of their league options.

Handicap leagues allow bowlers of varying skill levels to compete against one another and still have a chance to win. The handicap is anywhere between 90 and 100 percent of the actual score in most leagues.

If, for instance, each of the four bowlers on your team has a score of one hundred (for a total of four hundred), but the bowlers on the team you are competing against have scores of 150 (for a total of six hundred), then your team’s score will be increased by between 180 and 200 pins. Because of this, the bowlers with less experience have a better chance of winning.

Therefore, you shouldn’t be frightened to try new things. So come on in today and sign up for one of our handicap leagues. You won’t regret it!
